MIDDLESEX COUNTY, April 8, 2025 – At today’s meeting of Middlesex County Council, Durk Vanderwerff was appointed Acting Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of the County of Middlesex, effective April 8, 2025. A by-law to appoint Mr. Vanderwerff as Interim CAO will be brought forward for Council consideration at the April 22, 2025 meeting of County Council.

MIDDLESEX COUNTY, March 25, 2025 – Today, County Council passed By-law #7322 to adopt the 2025 Budget of the County of Middlesex which will result in a tax rate increase of 4.1%. The 2025 Budget builds on the previous year’s foundation of fiscal accountability, reaffirming the County’s commitment to investing in and enhancing core services that are vital to our community, while recognizing the growing financial pressures on taxpayers due to provincial and federal policy decisions and geopolitical challenges.
