MIDDLESEX COUNTY: On July 16, 2024, Warden Aina DeViet issued the following statement regarding the total proceeds of the 2024 Warden’s Charity Golf Tournament.

"It is with immense gratitude that we announce the success of the Middlesex County 2024 Warden's Charity Golf Tournament. This year's tournament has been a remarkable event, uniting our community in support of three organizations: The Ailsa Craig & Area Food Bank and Thrift Store, Ska-Nah-Doht Village & Museum and the Middlesex Centre Archives. I am thrilled to announce that through the generosity of our sponsors and participants, we have raised a staggering $33,300 with each of these organizations receiving $11,100.

The funds raised through this tournament will undoubtedly go a long way in nurturing the growth and development of our community. These organizations play an invaluable role in our community, preserving our heritage, supporting those in need, and enriching our collective experience.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the participants who took part in the tournament, the sponsors who generously contributed, and the County staff who dedicated their time and efforts to make this event a resounding success. Your unwavering support has made a tangible difference in the lives of the residents of our community. I would also like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to FireRock Golf Club for hosting this year’s tournament.

I am extremely proud and humbled of what we have accomplished together. The Middlesex County 2024 Warden's Charity Golf Tournament has not only raised a record net sum of $33,300 but has also reinforced the sense of unity and camaraderie that makes our community so special. We have proven that when we unite for a common cause, we can create meaningful change.

Together, we have made a lasting impact on the lives of the residents supported by The Ailsa Craig & Area Food Bank and Thrift Store, Ska-Nah-Doht Village & Museum, and the Middlesex Centre Archives. Let us continue to support and uplift one another, knowing that our collective efforts will shape a brighter future for our community."
