Middlesex-London Paramedic Service Paramedics Honoured with Prestigious Exemplary Service Medal
November 7, 2024 – The Middlesex-London Paramedic Service (MLPS) is proud to announce that six dedicated paramedics — John Blaauw, Jodi Brenndorfer, Brian Jacklin, LT Jimson, Jessica Goncalves, and Craig Bothwell — have been awarded the Governor General of Canada’s Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Exemplary Service Medal. This national honour recognizes their outstanding commitment and service within Canada’s emergency medical field, embodying the highest standards of professionalism and compassion.
The EMS Exemplary Service Medal, part of the Governor General’s prestigious awards, is presented to emergency responders with at least 20 years of service, including a minimum of 10 years in roles with inherent risks. This recognition highlights the resilience, selflessness, and dedication to duty demonstrated by each recipient as they serve the residents of Middlesex County and the City of London.
