Today, April 28th is National Day of Mourning to remember and honour those who have died, been injured, or suffered illness in the workplace. This day also signifies the County’s renewal and commitment to reduce and prevent worker illness and injury. Please join us in committing to a future where everyone goes home safely at the end of the day. We cannot change the past. We can change the future.
Please take time today to watch the National Day of Mourning videos: CCOHS - National Day of Mourning, WSIB - Day of Mourning and Threads of Life - Day of Mourning.
If you or a loved one have been affected by a workplace death, injury or illness, Threads of Life, an Association for Workplace Tragedy Family Support, may be able to help. They provide peer support, information, online and in-person events to learn healthy coping skills, and the chance to use your voice for prevention of future tragedies.
