Working under the direction of the Supervisor, the Branch Assistant provides a wide range of public service and support duties that promote a welcoming and inviting library environment and meet the strategic direction set forth by the Middlesex County Library Board.
The Student Branch Assistant assists the Supervisor or Branch Assistant with library procedures including shelving books, shelf reading, circulating library materials, assisting with programs and displays. Assists library patrons with using the computer catalogue, Internet, locating information.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Under the supervision of the Environmental Services Manager, the Laundry Services Aide sorts, weighs, washes, and folds linen and resident clothing, attends to resident admissions/discharges, and carries out labelling, mending, and alterations. This is a temporary, casual, summer position until October 31, 2026. Hours of work may vary and scheduled hours each week are not guaranteed.
Under the supervision of the Environmental Services Manager, the Housekeeper sweeps and mops floors, washes or dusts furniture and equipment, and carries out various other tasks as indicated on the daily cleaning schedule.
As a member of the nursing team and under the supervision of the Registered Nurse or the Registered Practical Nurse, the Personal Support Worker performs various aspects of resident care in accordance with the policies and procedures of Strathmere Lodge.
Reporting to the Food Service Manager, Food Service Supervisor or Cook, the Food Service Worker prepares and serves food and beverages at mealtimes, sets and clears dining room tables and cleans dishes.
