Warden and Councillors

Alison Warwick - 2022 Warden

Bio

Warden Alison Warwick began her career in politics in 2014 when she was elected Ward 3 Councillor for the Municipality of Thames Centre. In the 2018 municipal election, she was elected Mayor of Thames Centre, and on December 2, 2021, she was elected Warden of the County of Middlesex.

Alison had the privilege of growing up in Middlesex County in the rural community of Thames Centre, where she continues to reside today. As the owner and operator of an equestrian business from 1997 to 2020, Alison has first hand knowledge of the day-to-day challenges of running a business in a rural environment.

As a riding coach for over 25 years, at both the recreational and competitive level, Alison has built strong relationships in the local community. Through this work and in her role as a local 4H leader, she has seen the importance of encouraging young people to become involved in the community and to explore all of the opportunities that rural life has to offer.

Alison is also a strong advocate for rural business. She served as the President of the North Dorchester Agricultural Society in 2017 and 2018; the Vice Chair of Tourism Middlesex in 2011 and 2012; and has been both a Member and the Chair of the Mossley Post Heritage and Citizenship Society.

Alison currently serves on Kettle Creek Conservation Authority as Vice Chair. She is also the Vice Chair for the South Central Ontario Region Economic Development and a proud member of the Dorchester and District Lions Club.

Through living and working in Middlesex County for many years, Alison feels connected with her neighbours and truly feels that the Middlesex County community provides a great quality of life for its residents.
