County Council welcomes Councillor Ropp as the New Warden of Middlesex County
MIDDLESEX COUNTY on December 10, 2024: During the Middlesex County Council Inaugural meeting today, Brian Ropp, Mayor of North Middlesex, was elected Warden of Middlesex County for the 2024/2025 term.
Mayor Ropp, a long-serving and dedicated member of County Council, accepted the responsibilities of Middlesex County Warden following the election. His commitment to public service and the residents he serves will ensure that the legacy of strong leadership at Middlesex County is continued.
“As the County continues to evolve, adapt and modernize, steady leadership is incredibly important,” said Warden Ropp. “New ideas, new projects and new technologies, must be balanced with strong, stable stewardship and I look forward to working alongside my fellow Councillors to ensure this stability. I would like to thank my fellow Councillors for their confidence in me as we move into the second half of our term.”
“I wish Warden Ropp all the best for the upcoming year,” said Past Warden Aina DeViet. “I have no doubt that under his leadership the County will continue as a progressive, forward-thinking organization.”
As per Procedural By-Law #7264, Councillor Aina DeViet, as the most immediate Past Warden on Council, was named Deputy Warden. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Middlesex County Council, local councillors, community leaders, and residents.
Warden Ropp is currently serving his 2nd term as Mayor of North Middlesex. This will be his first term as Warden.
