Road Closure - Komoka Road

September 30th is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, this day commemorates the children who never returned home and survivors of residential school systems as well as their families and communities. We acknowledge the land in which we gather is the traditional territory of the Attawandaron, the Anishinabe, the Haudenosaunee, and Lunaapeewak peoples who have a long-standing relationship with the land, water, and region of Southwestern Ontario. The local first nation communities of this area include Chippewas of the Thames First Nation, Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation, and the Munsee-Delaware First Nation.

Elgin Road will be closed for CN repairs at the tracks between the intersections of Catherine Street. The road will be closed from September 20 to 23.

Middlesex County’s decentralization project in final stages

MIDDLESEX COUNTY on September 2, 2022: Following a comprehensive review of its current and future operational needs, Middlesex County is moving into the final stages of its plans to have a smaller footprint and a more decentralized workforce spread throughout the County. So far through this project, the County has made significant investments in new capital development within Middlesex; capitalized on peak market conditions through the sale of its current administration building; and successfully implemented a hybrid work model enabling many County employees to work remotely.
