Environment and Climate Change Canada issued an Extended Heat Warning for London and Middlesex County from Monday, June 17 through Friday, June 21. The forecast predicts high temperatures of 33°C on Monday, 34°C on Tuesday, 33°C on Wednesday, 33°C on Thursday, and 31°C on Friday, with the heat expected to ease on Saturday when the temperature is anticipated to drop to 30°C ending the heat warning.
On Tuesday, June 18, 2024, the London Police Service will become the first Single-tier Municipality Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) in Ontario to launch Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1), an innovative and transformational technology solution which will improve the public’s access to 9-1-1 emergency services.
Glendon Drive, Vanneck Road, Jefferies Road and Coldstream Road will be closed at the intersection. The closure is set for 1 day, Monday, June 24. There will be no through traffic.
