Middlesex County, April 8, 2024 – Today marks the launch of Middlesex County’s newest inter-community transit route, offering connectivity between Dorchester, London, and St. Thomas. The new Middlesex County Connect route aims to address the growing need for affordable, accessible, and convenient transportation options for residents and visitors alike, marking a significant milestone in enhancing regional mobility.

Denfield Road will be closed between Cladeboye Drive and William Street for bridge repairs. The closure begins on April 8 and is expected to last until May 16. 

MIDDLESEX COUNTY on April 3, 2024: Warden Aina DeViet issued the following statement regarding the construction of two new elementary schools and childcare centres in Middlesex County.

Middlesex County, April 3, 2024 – Middlesex County will be launching our new inter-community transit route facilitating connectivity between Dorchester, London, and St. Thomas on Monday, April 8, 2024. The launch event will feature Middlesex County Warden Aina DeViet, St. Thomas Mayor Joe Preston, Thames Centre Mayor Sharron McMillan, and Deputy Mayor Michelle Smibert, along with Vice President of Transit Ontario Voyago, Jason Keillor, among other distinguished guests marking the occasion with a ceremonial bus ride.

MIDDLESEX COUNTY, March 26, 2024 – At the March 26 Council Meeting, County Council passed by-law #7268 to adopt the 2024 Budget of the County of Middlesex. Middlesex County is proud to announce the 2024 budget, which reflects the County's dedication to providing essential services to its residents while navigating the challenges posed by increasing costs of living influenced by provincial and federal policy decisions.

A Total Solar Eclipse will be taking place on Monday, April 8, 2024, visible across North America. The path of the eclipse will pass through multiple provinces, including Ontario. In the Middlesex-London region, a partial solar eclipse is expected to occur between 2:01 p.m. and 4:29 p.m. with the peak happening at 3:17 p.m., when most of the sun’s light will be covered by the Moon.
